The customer was purchasing a hub assembly design intended for specific use on playground equipment; however, it had a short life cycle before needing maintenance or replacement.

Northfield agricultural hubs are designed for long periods of field use with little or no maintenance. We redesigned and modified our agricultural hubs and the component assemblies to fit the customer’s needed application without sacrificing quality. This included chrome plating the steel to eliminate weather-related breakdowns due to the constant stress of the playground equipment. The customer now has a single source with us for their hubs.

Our customer designed hay handling equipment that required an agricultural hub brake assembly with unique braking components.

Northfield Industries, d/b/a Anchor Harvey, was able to locate, source, and assemble the special non-industry standard hub brake assembly. We coordinated the resources of engineering teams internally and with the brake components supplier to provide the unique brake parts in combination with hubs into a turn-key assembly for the customer.
